The 5th Transnational Project Meeting of the “Project for Increasing the Vocational Competencies of Commercial Vehicle Drivers”, which we carried out together with 7 partner organizations from Turkey, Italy, Spain and Germany within the scope of the EU’s Erasmus+ Program, was held. The meeting organized in Ankara/Turkey on 12-13 May 2022 was hosted by our Turkish partner MoNE Private Education Institutions General Directorate. The meeting was attended by 6 project partner institutions/organizations (TŞOF, MoNE, TÜMEDEF, CNA, Training 2000 and IBF) and representatives of our affiliate company SUPSI, responsible for executing the project. Our Spanish partner PONS attended the meeting online.
At the meeting, the project was evaluated in general and the works to be done and the documents to be prepared regarding the closing and final report were determined. In addition, the sustainability of the project outputs and new project ideas were discussed.
On Thursday, May 12, 2022, we held our Final Conference with the participation of over 80 people. Representatives of many private and public institutions and organizations (Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Customs and Trade, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Gendarmerie General Command, TESK, Ankara ESOB, TOBB, KUTEM, Vocational Training Providers Association, Driver Trainers Confederation, etc) attended the meeting held in the TŞOF conference hall. Also, SRC trainers and the chairmen of the chambers of taxis, minibuses, service vehicles and public bus operators that transport passengers in the city, as well as the owners or drivers of the vehicles participated in the meeting. In addition, representatives of local and foreign organizations that are project partners also took part in the meeting. Representatives of our Spanish partner PONS connected to the meeting online.
The meeting started with the opening speech of Deputy Chairman of TŞOF Mehmet Yeğiner, followed by the opening speeches of TÜMEDEF President Talat Yıldız and MoNE ÖÖKGM Department President Fatih Kıratlı. In accordance with the meeting agenda, after a short introduction of the project, the outputs were shared with the participants by the representatives of the organizations responsible for each intellectual output. The meeting ended with the general evaluation part, where the opinions and suggestions of the participants were taken. The project and its outputs were welcomed by the participants and the participants emphasized their belief that the project would bring innovative practices and new perspectives to the transportation and education sector.
